Fabric Covered Magnet Board

Materials Needed:
Sheet Metal
Ribbon
Fabric
Drill
Magnets

Directions:
Drill two holes, one in each end, of the sheet metal, where you want to put the ribbon to hang it.

Cut the fabric to the size you need, just a little bit bigger than the metal board.
Then, like, the hair bow board you will hot glue each side (doing one side and then the adjacent side and pull it very tight so there are no wrinkles on the front. I found that the hot glue gets cool very fast on the metal, so just do small sections at a time.

Again, like the bow board, leave the corners until the end. Then make them into triangles and glue them down, so you can't see them in the front.

You are almost done! You can either make your own magnets, or use some that you already have. I made my own in this case so they would match the fabric. I just bought buttons and magnets, then hot glue them together.

Now, you can thread the ribbon through the two holes that you drilled up top. Tie them however you want (bow, knot...)

I also added some ribbon on the corners just for fun too. Here is where you can get creative and do what you think would look good.

And there you have it! A cute, fun way to display your pictures, notes, calendar and whatever you want! This is going in my kitchen so I have a grocery list and things on it. The metal I bought is 24inches x 24 inches. I got it at Lowe's for just over $10. You can get any size you want of course. Just make sure you don't get aluminum, it needs to be sheet metal. Hope you have fun with this, and add some personality to one of your rooms!

Hair Bow Board

Materials Needed:
Picture Frame whatever size you want.
Fabric
Ribbon
Paint
Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Fabric Flowers (if wanted)
Knobs (if wanted)
Directions:
Take the picture frame (I usually get mine at the D.I or Dollar Store to save on cost.) and take the glass and backing out.

Paint the frame whatever colour you desire (it will probably require several coats)

Then while waiting for the frame to dry, take the backing (you will not need the glass)and cut the fabric so that it is a little bigger than the backing. (Don't mind the picture on mine, I got it from the D.I and someone had apparently glued the backing, matting, and picture all together lol)

Stretch the fabric tightly over it, hot gluing it on the back. Make sure it is very tight so there are no wrinkles in the front. It doesn’t need to be pretty, no one will ever see the back. I find it easiest if you hot glue one side and then the adjacent side so you can make sure it is nice and tight.
Leave the corners un-glued and then glue them down nicely so you can't see them from the front.

Cut about 4 or 5 strips of ribbon (depending on the size of the frame) so that you can glue them on the either side of the back of the frame. Only the ends though! Don’t glue these too tight.

Once everything is dry and looks the way you want it to, you can go ahead and put the backing back into the frame and secure it.

If you want to, you can decorate the corners with fabric flowers or whatever you wish to do.
You can also decide how you want to hang it. I usually just hot glue a ribbon on the back and it holds well.

I usually also go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get 3 knobs (like for kitchen cupboards and what not) and drill them onto the bottom side (spaced out well of course). This is good for hanging headbands. I just forgot and I will do this step later.
Now go ahead and put those cute little bows on it and ta-da, you have a cute, inexpensive gift!
